Where possible we collect feedback from individuals.

This feedback is from workshops and 1-2-1’s held in the north Buckinghamshire area. All quotes are from people on probation. We ran group sessions and gave 1-2-1 advice and support.

The sessions were a mix of providing advice on being self employed, information about practical finances (eg getting credit checks) and disclosure for work.

Our sessions have many impacts including on knowledge levels, confidence, motivation and self awareness.

‘You have been fantastic in guiding me through re structuring my business plan. Have been great in informing me about pensions, tax and PAYE. Have guided me through disclosure and helped me with what to say and when I have to disclose information. I feel more confident and motivated. Thank you’.

Staff Feedback

“You were great with the guys. They can be a tough group and you had some difficult guys. The feedback though was great and you got them all contributing”.

“I was amazed! They came early for the sessions and didn’t keep asking for a break! They all got loads of new information and the handouts were just right”.

Here is some feedback from a group we worked with in HMP Bullingdon (Oxfordshire).  This was a workshop based programme with all gaining a City and Guilds Level 2 qualification. For some this was a major and important milestone. Some thought they would never achieve anything like this.

“Really enjoyed being on the course and felt that it has taught me a lot that I didn’t know. I did struggle during the course and at one point nearly gave up but I chose to soldier on and not let it get me down. A REALLY BIG HI 5 TO DAWN AND ISABEL. Thank you very much”.

“I am now more motivated. This is because I have not had an opportunity to discuss things with anyone before (most other people are not interested or don’t have knowledge of my potential career except those on this course). Also having specific advice on my career path means I am more motivated to pursue it”.

‘A big thank from us to prison staff. I think the fact all participants showed up voluntarily for each session says a lot for the way the course was delivered so well done and thank you to you both.’

‘Another positive was that there were a wide range of abilities and knowledge within the group and all participants engaged and took something away from it as well as them all helping one another.’

Staff Feedback

‘the practical real world advice and support we van give will improve the chances of success.  For some this will prevent them from re offending – and that saves you and me money! For some the reality of what it takes to run a business may mean they do not start, get in a muddle or waste money.’

In the near future!

We are working with partners to provide services that are genuinely through the gate and go further than the usual tracking period. For most people starting a business there can be months/ years before it really bears fruit therefore the length of time for advice and support needs to be realistic and meaningful.
